My debut solo exhibition – Canvas Creatures

Canvas Creatures

It’s finally here my debut solo exhibition!

Entitled Canvas Creatures, this exhibition houses a range of animal art from a domestic cow to an African elephant and is available to view in the Down Arts Centre, Downpatrick until 16th December 2017.

I have really enjoyed creating all of the individual pieces of artwork within this exhibition and love how diverse the entire collection has finished up.

Each painting has a different style and took a unique journey to get it from a blank canvas to the finished piece.

I would like to take this opportunity to show my thanks and appreciation to my beautiful wife Déarbhla. My name may be on the leaflets, website and social media but I could not have done any of this without the love and support from her. She has always supported me in every aspect of my career to date. She is there for me during the late nights and also there when a painting is not going the way I want it to, to offer support and encouragement. She gives me an unbiased opinion when needed and reminds me to eat and drink when I get lost in a painting. I would also like to thank my three children for providing me with the strength and will to succeed and create. Also my entire family circle and friends who are always supportive and there for me every step of the way.

Canvas Creatures consists of 16 original artworks (15 paintings, one charcoal piece) which are on display and for sale. In addition to this there are 24 mounted and wrapped prints available to purchase. These are made up from some pieces that are within the exhibition as well as some past, similar themed pieces.

Following a successful launch night in the Down Arts Centre on 9th November, will run until 16th December 2017.

Admission is free and opening times are during the centre opening hours.

Feel free to get in touch to arrange to meet me there or if you have any further questions get in touch

Aidan
